After falling in love with filmmaking at a young age in his home town of Port Lincoln, Sam was selected to go to Italy to represent Australia at the 2014 Giffoni Film Festival. This was the experience that cemented his love in cinema and media production, and inspired the pursuit of a career.

Since then Sam graduated Maps Film school with Advanced Diploma in Screen and Media; Majoring in Camera Department and Minoring in both Writing and Directing. The films he made in film school found success with selection and awards at The South Australian Screen Awards and the Fleurieu Film Festival.

Post film school Sam moved into an Internship at Beyond Content. During this time he was able to work on several feature films, Television Commercials, Short Films and many Corporate Productions. This gave him the skill of shooting in a fast paced professional environment and allowed him to find his knack for storytelling. It was shortly after this stint that South Point Media was born.
