Hey! My name is George and I’m a Freelance Photographer/Videographer and aspiring DOP.

I have been Freelancing full-time since March 2022. My journey first started in 2013, shooting fun videos of my friends and I hanging out. Then there was a big break between 2013 and 2018 when I was actually pursuing music, but got my hands back on cameras in 2018 taking photos with my friends again. Whilst studying a Bachelor of Business Marketing at University, I was sharpening my skills as a photographer, and by graduation had decided to follow the passion and try build a business out of it. After finding steady work as a photographer, by Spring 2022,

I began delving into Cinematography to broaden my scope, and quickly found a burning passion for film and cinema I didn’t know was there. Since then, countless hours have been spent studying the works of award winning and local DOP’s alike, eager to understand why these people made the choices they did with their Cinematography and how to apply these techniques to my own work. In my research, I had come to learn that I enjoy documentary style brand videos, where the rawness of doc-style cinematography meets branded content, creating engaging brand stories in efforts to build awareness and salience.
