About Freelancer
Brooke (they/she) is a disabled, queer, set designer and scenic artist for stage and screen. She has a focus on accessibility in theatre and exploring emotion and character-based stories in film. Her studies in cinematography have informed her practice as a production designer and given her an understanding of designing for the frame. She strives to bring together her love of film and theatre and develop visuals honouring both mediums.
Brooke’s credits include Set and Vision Designer for ‘Borneo+3’ (VCA); Associate Set Designer for ‘Theatrum Botanicum’ (VCA); Head of Scenic for ‘Heathers: The Musical’ (VCA); Head of Scenic for ‘Dance Nation’ (VCA); Scenic Artist for ‘Swan Lake’ (The Australian Ballet); Set Dresser for television series ‘FAKE’ (Kindling Pictures); and Set Dresser for short film ‘I Want to Make a Film About Women’ (Physical TV Company).
Brooke holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Victorian College of the Arts, and an Advanced Diploma in Screen and Media from The Academy of Film, Theatre and Television.
